Nature is always present in our buildings: its colors and raw materials give us images that later turn into spaces in which the reflection of the landscape can be found everywhere.
We have selected our raw materials from the hills and stones for building the main house. The Jarilla branches, which are used for the ceilings, are part of the tradition in primitive country houses. The walls were built using antique adobe bricks rescued from houses or demolished ranchos. The house structure stands upon centenarian quebracho (South American hardwood) posts.
We count with homegrown raspberries, blackberries, and redcurrants, among others. The season vegetable garden supplies us with all the necessary vegetables for our daily meals.
Even though 'Las Jarillas' was built in year 2000 as a vacation house, its privileged location on the base of the Champaquí hill and its unique landscapes inspired us later the idea of sharing it with the rest of the world.
We aim to share this way of living, in which our first mission is to look after our source of life, Mother Earth.
Every season of the year is a good moment to experience this wonderful place, since its microclimate makes it possible to enjoy about 300 days of sun and mild temperatures per year. Here we are, we're pleased to meet you!
